CHB introduced a new housing scheme named as Chandigarh Housing Scheme 2017 to offer 10,000 flats in its first phase. Board will start construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana from October 2017. Board has ensured to provide benefits of this scheme to every section of the society that is why board has offered flats to EWS, LIG, MIG-I & II candidates.  Complete Details have been uploaded. Possession of flats will be given to beneficiaries by the July 2019. This housing scheme is still in its first phase. Flats will be allotted to beneficiaries after construction of houses is complete, which will be started soon.    Flats will be located at various locations of Chandigarh including Maloya, Mauli Jagran & Dhanas. Board conducted demand survey to receive applications from willing candidates. Around 51,000 applicants were found eligible. This Housing Scheme is spread over 100 acres.

On birth ceremony of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, PM is going to launch "Housing for All Scheme." 42,000 houses will be constructed under 21 Housing Projects on 14 April 2017 in Maharashtra , which will cost upto Rs. 3,100 crore. Houses will be constructed in Wanjara, Chikhli Devathan also at Waddhamana in Nagpur district, Pimpalgaon, Datala (Chandrapur), Akoli, Seoni, Buldhana. Government would provide land for Housing Project at Rs. 01 per sq. meter to concerned agencies also subsidy to buyers for buying flats. Stamp Duty will cost Rs. 1,000 for EWS category candidates. This housing project is expected to be finished within 24 to 36 months.
